Latest Update: October 6, 2021

We are no longer requiring pre-registration for in-person worship.  However, we continue to make the health and well-being of all attendees of The Way our top priority.  If you or someone with whom you've been in contact is experiencing COVID-like symptoms, no matter how mild, we ask that you stay home and worship with us through our livestream on YouTube or Facebook.  We will still be administering a COVID pre-screen before worship and we ask you continue to wear a mask, no matter your vaccination status.

Though we are not where we were 18 months ago, we are not out of the woods yet. Based on expert medical professionals, the Delta variant of  COVID-19 is on the rise. Even fully vaccinated individuals can still spread the virus. Let’s all remain diligent by:

  • Practicing social distancing.
  • Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Using an alcohol based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick or have symptoms of illness.
  • When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) and then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces .
  • Wearing a mask whenever in heavily populated areas as a precaution to protect yourself and other families.

Let’s keep our trust in the Lord our Healer! We will not walk in fear. Health rules like these were a part of Moses’ law. God cares about cleanliness! We have wonderful promises in God’s word of his protection over our well-being.

In HIS Hands,
Pastor Jamie House

Greetings in Christ, The Way Family!

I trust you are doing well and staying healthy in these challenging times. As you know, our church along with the entire world has faced tremendous challenges over the past 18 months as we have done our best to navigate through this global pandemic. Doubtless, all the decisions we've made have not been perfect, but we have tried to seek the mind of God and sought His wisdom toward the best path in reopening safely.

As we have returned to worship together, again, we've tried to do so with a sense of care while striving to gain some resemblance of “normalcy.” We have maintained to the best of our ability, strict CDC protocols and pre screening processes. Our EMP’s (Emergency Medical Professionals) have done a wonderful job keeping us all safe.

Someone who attended our worship service on 8/8/2021 unknowingly was exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19 at another location and has since tested positive for COVID-19 themselves. Everyone who was in attendance that day has also been notified separately. Although most individuals had no direct contact with the person, out of an abundance of caution, we have scheduled a deep professional sanitization of the building and we will also be suspending in-person services until 8/22/2021. If you had direct contact you would have been notified by the Monroe County Department of Health. However, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or feel sick at all, we encourage you to get tested.

Until we’re able to meet again, join us for church online our official YouTube channel here. When we reopened the church building, operating in grace, clarity, and transparency was a top priority. Thank you for your understanding as we adjust to our new operations in this season. Please keep the family who received a positive test result in prayer for their journey back to health and let us know if you have any questions.

Out of an abundance of caution, our board and leadership team made the decision to move to online services only and suspend in-person gatherings for the next few weeks due to the recent spike in Covid-19 cases in our area.

This also creates a buffer to ensure that we make allowance for any Thanksgiving-related exposure to be dealt with safely before returning to our buildings.  In this time we will also monitor the health and safety of our team and the regulations imposed by our region.  Although we may not be physically together, we are always connected spiritually.

First of all, I want to thank all of you for your continued support of the ministry and cooperation during these ever changing times we live in. In light of the recent spike of Covid-19 numbers in our area, out of an abundance of caution, we are reducing our service capacity to 80 people.  This will allow for even more social distancing between family households.

What this change means for you...

1. Everyone must pre-register for service.  This is vital to keep our count below the threshold mentioned above and also acts as a source contact tracer if ever needed.

2. We are asking everyone to please arrive early(Doors open at 9:30AM) to allow time for the pre-screen process (temperature check at the door and a Covid-19 exposure questionnaire).  Doors will close promptly at 11AM.

3. Anyone who has not pre-registered for service will be asked to wait until all pre-registered members and guests have arrived and entered the building.

Remember to continue practicing social distancing at all times, which unfortunately means only air hugs and friendly waves for now.  Please refrain from embracing and shaking hands.

If you’re elderly or at high-risk, we encourage you to continue attending our online services and staying in touch with our community through virtual groups.

Whether you join us online or in person, we love you and we’ll see you soon.

Hello Bibleway Family,

Words can’t express how much I’ve missed gathering together over the past few months.  And while it’s been wonderful to watch us come together to support one another and serve our community, I’m excited to announce that we can do some of that in person soon. That’s right—our church leadership has decided to reopen our building for services on Sunday, August 16.

For months, we’ve prayed about the right time to reopen and asked God for the wisdom to do it safely.  We’ll continue to lean on Him and on each other as we remain patient and work together to follow social distancing guidelines upon reopening.  But before you walk through the church doors, we want to remind you that reopening and staying open is a team effort.  We’re doing all we can to make sure you’re safe and comfortable and we need your help, too.  Our service will be at 10:30AM as usual, but a few things will be different.

What We’re Doing at The Way…
  • Limiting capacity to allow enough space for social distancing.  Rows will be separated 6ft apart and there will be a limited seating of 125 people which more than meets the NYS guidelines of 25% of building capacity.
  • Requiring registration for the modified in-person service.
  • We are still offering our online worship option.
  • Providing masks for those who don’t have one (or forget theirs) and no-touch hand sanitizer stations.
  • Sanitizing high-touch surfaces before, during, and after services.
  • Staying abreast of coronavirus case trends and best practices for a safe environment.

What you can do…
  • Pre-register here so we can prepare enough seats for everyone to attend safely.
  • Wear a mask at all times, even while singing.
  • Doors open at 9:30AM.  Please arrive early to allow time for the pre-screen process (temperature check at the door and a Covid-19 exposure questionnaire).  Any person with a temperature of 100.4 or greater will not be permitted to enter the building.  Doors will close at 11AM.
  • Practice social distancing, which unfortunately means only air hugs and friendly waves for now.  Please refrain from embracing and shaking hands.
  • Choose the safest worship experience for you.  If you’re elderly or high-risk, we encourage you to continue attending our online services and staying in touch with our community through virtual groups.  I’m sure you’ve heard it from your car insurance company and favorite shoe brand, but we really mean it—we’re all in this together.

Whether you join us online or in person, we love you and we’ll see you soon.

March 10, 2020Our commitment to our members and guest!

In light of the recent concerns in our community about the COVID-19, commonly referred to as coronavirus, we want you to know that our health and wellness team are taking every precaution to keep our church family healthy. The health and safety of all members is our top priority. Bibleway will continue to gather on Sundays and Wednesdays for services.

While there have been confirmed cases of coronavirus in New York State, the health risk to the general public remains low in Rochester and Monroe County.  We understand that many of our members may have questions and concerns. We want to share information about the steps Bibleway is taking, as well as steps you can take to help prevent the spread of all viruses.

Bibleway has infectious disease protocols in place and is taking precautions, such as regular cleaning and disinfecting throughout building after every service. We are committed to keeping Bibleway a clean space for you to worship.

Here are some good reminders for everyone:
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  •  Use an alcohol based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick or have symptoms of illness.
  • Stay home when you are sick or have symptoms of illness. You may visit our website or church mobile app for sermon replays or updates/announcements within the ministry.
  • When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) and then throw the tissue in the trash.
  •  Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
  • At Bway Kids Church we regularly ask moms and dads to keep their children at home if they have any of these symptoms:
– Runny nose
– Headache
– Cough
– Sore throat
– Fever
– General feeling of being unwell

If you have concerns about your health, please contact a medical practitioner or the Monroe County Health Department. Thank you for your support as we work together to maintain a healthy worship environment.

Let’s keep our trust in the Lord our Healer! We will not walk in fear. Health rules like these were a part of Moses’ law. God cares about cleanliness! We have wonderful promises in God’s word of his protection over our well-being.

Remember the promise from Psalm 91:5-7:
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

Most of all, Let's keep showing love of God in practical ways to those who need it most.
